At KAⅡ Design & Work, we use LIXIL’s high-insulation window “SAMOS L,” developed through continuous research into windows suited to Japan’s climate.
Its hybrid aluminum and resin structure significantly enhances living comfort and energy efficiency, making it a highly popular building material that adds exceptional value to the property.

Homes with enhanced insulation, including high-performance insulated windows, help reduce temperature differences between rooms.
This is particularly effective in preventing heat shock, which commonly affects elderly people during winter.
By minimizing temperature differences between colder spaces such as toilets, hallways, and bathrooms, it enhances comfort while also being gentler on the body.

The Secret Lies in the Frame!

To improve a home’s insulation performance, it is essential to minimize the size of heat-conductive frames and maximize the area of heat-resistant glass.
Through proprietary technology, SAMOS achieves both ultra-slim frames and maximized glass area, delivering outstanding thermal insulation performance.
By reducing frame exposure, these windows not only improve insulation but also create a clean, streamlined window appearance.

High-Performance Glass

We offer two types of glazing: standard double glazing, which enhances insulation through two panes of glass and an insulating air layer, and Low-E double glazing, which uses a special metallic coating to deliver approximately twice the thermal insulation performance of standard double glazing.
As an option, argon gas filling, which has low thermal conductivity, is also available.
With high levels of airtightness and watertightness as standard, along with sound insulation to reduce noise and wind pressure resistance, these windows improve air-conditioning efficiency and can reduce heating and cooling costs by approximately 20%.
They are also designed to be environmentally friendly.

Excellent Condensation Resistance Helps Prevent Mold and Dust Mites

Condensation caused by temperature differences between indoors and outdoors, as well as water vapor in indoor air, can lead to the growth of mold and dust mites around windows, becoming a potential cause of allergies and other health issues.
The bridge frame used in THERMOS and the FG-H fire-rated door is equipped as standard with a thermal break structure (see illustration) in the lower frame of sliding windows, which reduces thermal conductivity.
By blocking heat transfer between the exterior and interior sides, this structure effectively suppresses the formation of condensation.
